We hope you love Polarsteps Plus, but we know it's not for everyone. Here's how to cancel, when you can get a refund, and what to do if something's gone wrong with a charge.
Cancelling your subscription
You can cancel any time, and you'll keep Plus until the end of the period you've already paid for. After that, your account returns to the free app — your trips, photos, and data are all still there.
- iOS: Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions → Polarsteps Plus → Cancel. Or visit account.apple.com/account/manage/section/subscriptions
- Android: Play Store → Subscriptions → Polarsteps Plus → Cancel subscription. Or visit play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions
A small note: cancelling stops the next renewal. It doesn't refund the period you've already paid for. If you'd also like a refund, see below.

Refunds
Refunds for Polarsteps Plus go through the store you subscribed on, not through us directly. We can guide you, but we can't issue App Store or Google Play refunds ourselves — Apple and Google handle those.
If you subscribed on iOS (App Store)
Apple handles all App Store refunds:
- Go to reportaproblem.apple.com and sign in with your Apple ID
- Find the Polarsteps Plus charge
- Tap Report a Problem and choose a reason
Apple usually responds within a few days. Please make sure to check the email address connected to your Apple account.
If you subscribed on Android (Google Play)
Google handles Google Play refunds. Within 48 hours of purchase, you can request a refund directly:
- Open the Google Play app → Subscriptions → Polarsteps Plus or visit play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions
- Tap Refund (only visible during the eligibility window)
After 48 hours, you can still request a subscription refund through Google's help flow at play.google.com/store/account/orderhistory
I cancelled but was still charged
A few common reasons:
- The cancellation was for the next renewal. If you cancelled after a renewal had already happened, the current period is paid.
- The cancellation didn't fully save. Check your subscriptions in the store (links above) — if it still shows as active, walk through the cancel flow once more.

I was charged twice
In very rare situations, it may accidentally get charged twice. For instance, this might happen if you subscribed at the same time on both iOS and Android with the same Polarsteps account. Please contact us through this form and we'll help fix it.
