Once you've subscribed to Polarsteps Plus, you can change or cancel your plan at any time. Changes take effect at the end of your subscription period. In this article, we walk you through the steps. The process of managing your subscription may vary slightly depending on the device you subscribed on.
Where to manage your subscription
Apple and Google handle the actual billing for Polarsteps Plus, so your billing settings live in their stores, not inside the Polarsteps app.
If you subscribed on iOS
- Open the device Settings app
- Tap your name at the top
- Tap Subscriptions
- Find Polarsteps Plus
If you subscribed on Android:
- Open the Google Play Store app
- Tap your profile picture (top right)
- Tap Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions
- Find Polarsteps Plus
Cancelling your subscription
You can cancel any time. Cancellation goes into effect at the end of your current billing period. Plus features will be available to you until then.
The cancel button is in the same place as above:
- iOS: Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions → Polarsteps Plus → Cancel Subscription
- Android: Open the Play Store → Payments and subscriptions → Subscriptions → Polarsteps Plus → Cancel subscription
If you change your mind, you can resubscribe any time. Your trip data is never lost when you cancel.
Updating your payment method
Payment details are managed by Apple or Google:
- iOS: Settings → [Your Name] → Payment & Shipping → Update your payment method. Or visit account.apple.com/account/manage/section/payment
- Android: Open the Play Store → Payments and subscriptions → Payment methods. Or visit play.google.com/store/paymentmethods
Please make sure you also set your new payment method as the primary payment method for your Polarsteps Plus subscription through the subscription management options.
We don't have access to your subscription payment details and can't change them ourselves.
Switching between monthly and annual
You can switch plans without losing access, but you have to cancel your current subscription and then resubscribe, choosing the other plan. Changes take effect when your current subscription period ends.
- iOS: Settings → Subscriptions → Polarsteps Plus → Tap your current plan
- Android: Play Store → Subscriptions → Polarsteps Plus → Change plan
Receipts and invoices
Every charge generates an email receipt from Apple or Google. You can also find your purchase history:
- iOS: Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions → Polarsteps Plus, or check your email for receipts from Apple
- Android: Play Store → Payments and subscriptions, or check your email for receipts from Google
