If you are seeing an unfamiliar email address, odds are that your Polarsteps account is linked to a private relay email address (e.g. @icloud.com). This email address is created when you use the 'Sign in with Apple' button and choose to hide your email address. Apple will then create a private-relay email address for you.
You can check if your private-relay email is forwarding the emails to your linked email address by following these steps:
- Open your phone's 'Settings'
- Go to Apple ID
- Go to iCloud
- Click on 'Hide my email address. Here you will see a list of all apps where a private-relay email address has been created for you.
- Then click on Polarsteps. Here you can see whether your emails are forwarded to your desired email address or not.
If your emails are automatically forwarded, our emails to you will be forwarded to the email address you entered here. If this is disabled, you will not receive emails from us.
Update email address in your profile
Seeing that you initially created your account using the Apple sign-up feature, it means that you did not set a password for your Polarsteps account, which is required to update your email address.
If you'd like to set a password you will have to use the Forgot Password button on the sign-in page at www.polarsteps.com, see this article for step by step instructions: How do I reset my password? And once your password has been created, you can then go into your account settings and change the email address*.
Please note that an email address can only be linked to one Polarsteps' account.
