Trip Reels are exciting short videos to to look back on your trip! They are automatically created when you open your trip and tap the 'Play' button on the trip page (), or in the trip menu. You can watch the Trip Reels right away and then share the video with your friends on apps like Tiktok, Instagram or Whatsapp, or download it to your device. Please note that some other apps compress the video file, so downloading it to your device guarantees the best resolution.
Creating your Trip Reel
Once you have generated the Trip Reel you can select your sharing method or tap the 'Download' button.
If you are using the iOS app, it will ask you for permission to record your screen. When you agree, the iOS app will record your Trip Reel. Please keep the screen open until this process is 100% completed. If you are sharing your Reel using another app, you can now proceed to do so. On Android, this is not necessary.
How can I control which steps, photos and videos are included in my Trip Reel?
Trip Reels carefully selects the best content from your trip, taking into account a balance between photos and videos, the orientation of media, as well as the length of the reel. It will generate a video of max 60 seconds, but you can choose to edit your reel to include more photos and videos, and to make it longer. If you edit the Trip Reel manually, the max length is 3 minutes and 15 seconds.
Note: Trip Reel map scenes are currently available only on iOS. For Android, this is coming soon.
Why is it not possible for me to create a Trip Reel?
If you can't create a Trip Reel, the reason is most likely that your trip does not contain enough steps with photos and videos. Make sure that you have at least 10 photos in your trip for the Trip Reel to work properly. We recommend adding videos to your steps too, but these aren't necessary to create your reel!
If your trip contains a lot of videos, we recommend using a fast and stable internet connection in order for the Trip Reel to load properly. For long trips, it may take a while to load.
If you are not seeing the Trip Reels button at all, it could be related to your device. We do not support the following devices:

- Devices with Android 12 or iOS 17 or below
- iPhone SE (2nd and 3rd Gen)
