If you have created your Polarsteps account using your Facebook account to sign up and log in, it means that some data is shared between the two platforms. This includes your first and last name, as well as the email address you use for both accounts.
As of 2025, Polarsteps no longer supports Facebook for users to sign in to their account, or to create new Polarsteps accounts.
If you wish to delete the shared information that Polarsteps has received from Facebook when you signed up (name & email), the only way to do so is by deleting your Polarsteps account altogether. Please be aware that if you choose to delete your account, you will permanently lose all information, including trips, steps, photos, step texts, locations, travel stats, your profile. This cannot be reversed.

Polarsteps accounts that were created using Facebook did not require setting a password. To delete your Polarsteps account, you require confirming your password. To set a new password, please follow the instructions in this article: How do I reset my password?
