Can I use Polarsteps abroad without excessive data roaming charges?

Yes! You can even use our app without having roaming charges at all. We track your route using techniques that are free of charge (GPS, cellular signal, WiFi, etc). Please take the following measures into account if you wish to stay free of roaming charges but still want the Travel Tracker to work: 
  1. Disable "Mobile data" within your phone settings
  2. Disable "Data roaming" within your phone settings
