What is included in my data export and how do I view it?
Your data export includes your steps, photos, routes (geo-coordinates), profile information, and other info you have entered into Polarsteps or that Polarsteps has collected.
With the exception of your photos, your user data is exported in a machine-readable format (JSON), for which you will need to install JSON-reader in order to read it.
There are two sub-folders in the 'user_data' folder; the 'trip' folder, and the 'user' folder.
- The 'trip' folder contains another folder for every trip you logged on Polarsteps with your photos, sorted by step. It also contains a file with all your locations called 'locations.json' and a file with all your step texts called 'trip.json'
- The 'user' folder contains the JSON file with all other information
Please note that we provide this data in a machine-readable format and that we unfortunately cannot provide further support for what you want to do with your data after downloading it.
For more information about your data and privacy, please read our Privacy Policy here.
