When you check out your profile you see 'Following' and 'Followers'. Here you will learn more about what followers are.
In this article:
What is a follower?
A follower on your Polarsteps account is someone who:
- Has a Polarsteps account
- Has hit the 'Follow' button on your profile. (If you have an account that's only visible to your followers, you first have to accept this follow request)
You can see who follows you on Polarsteps by hitting the 'Followers' button that shows on your profile.
Can anyone just become my follower?
In your account settings, you can edit the setting called 'Who can follow me'. By default this is set to 'Only people I accept', and you receive a notification asking you if you want to accept or decline their follow request before someone becomes a follower. This way, you can decide for yourself who can your trips and who doesn't.
If you decide to change it to 'Anyone', then any Polarsteps user who wants to follow you is automatically accepted.
